Why Ali B Exists
Ali B is the brainchild of Alice Roberts, a skilled coach and organiser who brings her lifelong passion and expertise to you.
Craving some calm? I was too.
Growing up, life at home didn’t always feel together. Like most kids my bedroom was my sanctuary. This is where I learned the peace that comes from bringing order to my surroundings. I was a natural organiser. I would spend hours inspiring my friends organise their rooms as well, flexing my clear-thinking muscle and honing my systems-building skills. I loved sharing in their joy as we unveiled things they cherished and items that spoke to them.
This natural affinity developed into a 20-year career building my organisational and coaching capabilities on projects and teams, large and small. From high-level critical think tanks to managing conferences. Every corporate step has prepared me for this. Ali B opened in November 2022 and is the culmination of all the skills and systems, and organising tips and tricks I’ve ever learned, and now I can’t wait to bring a little slice of calm to you!
Drawing on my childhood nickname - Ali Bongo, from that one-time mum sang a silly song about me and it just stuck. Ali B’s mission resonates with the peace I found at an early age, to bring a little calm to the world – one shelf, cupboard, room, and home at a time.
I hold people at the centre of what I do, with no judgement or shame. My approach supports diversity and inclusion. Helping people from a range of backgrounds, ethnicity, and ages, as well as those with mental health challenges, disablement, and neurodiversity.
I keep learning so I can support you better. My studies with the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD) cover chronic disorganisation, ADHD, ageing and hoarding behaviour, and they all lead to the same place: calm, judgement-free help that works for how you live.
While I can help anyone and everyone, supporting female professionals, entrepreneurs and farm operators is my specialty. I understand the complexity of issues faced and can help to find the calm you crave.
When I help clear out the physical items, I know this helps clear out the mental clutter as well. So, if you could do with taking some of the “bonkers” out of your life, reach out.
By working with Ali B you’ll also be helping bring an end to domestic violence and abuse as 5% of profits will go to charities that make a difference.
Clutter is rarely just clutter
Sometimes ADHD is in the mix. Sometimes it’s a parent getting older, or a home holding a lifetime of belongings. Whatever’s behind it, overwhelm is human and common, and you never need to explain or justify it to me.
I used to wonder why some homes, and some brains, find organising so much harder than others. So I went looking for answers with the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), an international organisation dedicated to understanding what makes organising hard. What I learned changed how I work, and it’s why you won’t get a one-size-fits-all system from me.
It started with the Foundation Certificate in Chronic Disorganization.
Here I learned that for some people, being organised is a lifelong struggle, and it’s never about willpower. For you, that means starting from understanding, not judgement.
Then came the Level I Certificate of Study in ADHD.
I learned to build systems that work with the way your brain works, not against it, so what we set up is easier to keep going once I’ve left.
Next, the Level I Certificate of Study in Understanding the Needs of the Aging Client.
This taught me gentle, practical ways to support older clients and their families, so home stays safe, comfortable and familiar, and decisions stay with you.
And the Level I Certificate of Study in Understanding Hoarding Behavior.
Here I learned to offer patient, private support when a home holds more than feels manageable. You set the pace and make the decisions, always.
Whatever your home is holding, and whatever’s behind it, I’m ready to support you. Not with a picture-perfect makeover, but with calm, practical help and the relief of a home that works for you, and a life a little less bonkers.
“I want to tell everybody, that family violence happens to everybody.
No matter how nice your house is, how intelligent you are.
It can happen to anyone, and everyone.”
